A statement of attainment is issued with these three units when they are completed and competent.
Students explore colour through organic and commercial dyeing and experiment with fibres and fabric. Dyeing is the process of using dyes either organic or commercial dyes and colouring textile materials such as fibres, yarns, and fabrics to enhance the beauty of the created garment. Students create simple garment(s) and use dyeing methods and manipulating fibres and fabrics.
The mode of learning is blended learning including some face to face or online by video conferencing tutorials, some home work is expected, sewing, designing, planning and research. The duration of the 3 units of work is 8 weeks and face to face classes are kept to a minimum of 4. When the assessments are completed and deemed competent the student receives a Statement of Attendance certificate.
