Statement of Achievement or attendance in Modifying, Repairing Costumes and Embellishing Garments

Three units of competency consisting of repairing and maintaining costumes as well as embellishing garments by hand or machine. Students develop skills in embellishing garments such as embroidery and beading. Students also learn skills in repairing and maintaining costumes.
The mode of delivery is blended learning, attendance face to face weekly or video conferencing 2 hour per week duration for 12 weeks. Practical work is required and theory work is completed in the classroom. Some home preparations are also required such as research, home sewing, planning, sketching and Moore.
The clients create a complicated garment(s) and incorporate skills in maintaining costumes and embellishing garments. Students receive a statement of achievement for completing and submitting an assessment for the 3 units or attendance for attending the sessions for the three units of study.

Embellish garments by machine or hand
Prepare and produce a whole garment from specification such as a jacket
