VET Statement of Attainment in Patternmaking Principles and Modifying Patterns to Create Basic Style
The mode of delivery is blended learning this includes face to face or video conferencing, homework, practical work and observations in the studio and research. Classes are kept to a minimum of four clients in any one session.
The client develops their own simple style pattern, straight skirt, simple blouse, or straight dress using their own body measurements(s) and incorporate skills in modifying patterns. The final pattern is used for developing the first toile in calico which is fitted to the student for the perfect fit. The client can go on to complete a garment in the fabric of their choice. clients receive a statement of achievement for the two units when they submit an assessment or a statement of attendance for attending all sessions for the 2 units.
