Overlockers / Sergers
An overlocker also known as a serger are one and the same. The names are interchangeable and it just depends on where you come from. They are a wonderful machine if you know how to use them. Threading them can be difficult but once you learn how, you will always finish your garments off with neat tidy overlocked seams.
In this 2-hour weekly class, we learn about the various parts of the machine such as, tension dials, using 3 or 4 thread spools, double needles, cutting, stitch length, the differential feed dial and gathering with an overlocker / serger. We even show you the proper way to unpick an overlocked seam.
All levels welcome.
